Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I know I can trust you with my finances?
Trust is at the heart of every relationship I build. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), I adhere to strict fiduciary standards – meaning I’m obliged to put your best interests first. I have always had that mindset, long before it was required. I’ve spent over three decades guiding clients with honesty, empathy, and transparency. Many of my clients have been with me for years, and I take pride in fostering long-term partnerships rooted in mutual trust and care.
- I’m worried about the cost of financial planning. How is your pricing structured?
I believe in transparency and fairness. I offer different service models depending on your needs – from comprehensive planning to one-off consultations or project-based work. Most of my work is flat fee based or if managing investments, it is based on AUM (Assets under management, a fee as a percent of assets), and if I help obtain insurances for you those are paid via commission built into the policy. During our initial conversation, I’ll explain all the options clearly.
- What happens if my life or finances change dramatically?
Life is full of transitions, and your financial plan should evolve with you. Whether it’s a career shift, loss of a loved one, or unexpected inheritance, I adapt our strategies to align with your changing circumstances. Ideally, I’m here not just for the present but for the long term, guiding you through whatever life brings.
- Can you help with more than just investments?
Yes. My services extend beyond investment management. I provide comprehensive planning, including retirement strategies, estate and legacy planning, insurance review and analysis, and philanthropic advising. We’ll address all aspects of your financial life to create a holistic, cohesive plan.
